Joinery: Old Oak, New Purpose
Old oak adds a depth and authenticity that new materials simply can’t replicate. Not all of our timber goes underfoot. We source European oak over 200 years old, ideal for custom joinery – from vanities and shelving to cabinetry and features.
Pictured here is a bespoke oak vanity, crafted to reveal the material’s grain, weathering, and history. Each piece of timber is supplied to spec to ensure it fits seamlessly into your project and reflects its intent.
Sneak Peek: Crown Range Project – Cladding with Character at Altitude
High in the Crown Range, a private alpine house is being clad in antique European oak. Carefully reclaimed and preserved, these boards now face the southern landscape, adding warmth and depth to this remote, rugged setting.
Though still under construction, it’s already clear how well the oak’s rich texture and tonal variation complement the natural environment. It’s a considered, powerful use of heritage timber – and we’re looking forward to sharing more as the project unfolds. Watch this space.
