French Oak Collection
European oak, aged and finished to capture the character of old French oak floors.
The French Oak Collection is a refined range of vintage European oak flooring, made in Europe and inspired by traditional French interior architecture.
Aged, brushed and finished with subtle surface character, this collection brings warmth, depth and elegance to modern interiors. The floors are designed to feel timeless rather than trend-led, with natural oak grain, soft tonal variation and aged patinas that sit comfortably in both contemporary and classic spaces.
The French Oak Collection offers a considered range of aged oak finishes, from softly worn country-inspired surfaces through to more contemporary and industrial tones. Each range has its own character, while maintaining the warmth, texture and elegance associated with vintage European oak.
The Range
Provence is an aged and distressed French oak floor with natural wear, brushed texture and visible grain depth.
This range has a relaxed European country feel, with warmth, movement and surface character that gives the floor an established, lived-in appearance. Provence works well in interiors where softness, texture and natural charm are important.
Belmont offers a more contemporary expression of aged French oak.
The surface is lightly brushed to create a flatter, more regular appearance while still retaining the authenticity of the oak’s colour and grain. Belmont is warm, refined and well suited to modern interiors where a cleaner floor is preferred without losing natural character.
Chateau is the most authentically aged range within the French Oak Collection, with a stronger time-worn surface and deeper aged character.
Random wear marks, chipped edges, tonal variation and character around the knots give this floor the appearance of aged oak that has developed naturally over time. Chateau is suited to interiors where a more traditional, old-world French look is desired.
Foundry has a stronger industrial and salvage-inspired character.
Made to reflect the look of old factory flooring, this range includes more visible cracks, knots, planing marks and aged surface detail. Foundry is ideal where a more robust, textured and architectural floor is required.
Colour Options
The French Oak Collection is available in four flooring ranges, each with its own surface character, level of ageing and overall style.
Within each range, there are different colour options available, from lighter natural oak tones through to warmer, deeper and darker aged finishes. This allows the floor to be selected not only by character, but also by the colour direction best suited to the project.
Natural Character
Every floor in the French Oak Collection has its own variation in tone, grain and surface detail.
Depending on the selected range, the timber may include knots, brushed texture, wear marks, chipped edges, colour variation, cracks, planing marks and aged patina. These details are part of the character of the floor and help create the depth and warmth associated with vintage European oak.
The collection is designed to feel refined but not uniform, offering a natural aged finish that brings individuality to each project.
Engineered Flooring
The French Oak Collection is supplied as engineered oak flooring, designed for stability, durability and everyday use in modern interiors.
Each board is constructed with a generous European oak top layer over a premium Baltic birch plywood base, creating a reliable engineered floor while retaining the warmth, texture and natural beauty of aged French oak.
Construction
20mm engineered flooring
6mm European oak top layer
14mm Baltic birch plywood base
The French Oak Collection is supplied in a mixed-width format, giving the floor a natural, balanced and less uniform appearance.
Mixed widths:
140mm wide
180mm wide
220mm wide
The variation in board width helps create a relaxed European feel, adding warmth and movement across the floor.
Finish
The French Oak Collection is factory coated with two coats of hard wax oil, giving the surface a natural, low-sheen finish that enhances the grain and aged colour of the oak.
Hard wax oil helps preserve the natural look and feel of the timber while offering a practical finish for everyday interiors.
