Reclaimed Oak Cladding

Aged oak for exterior architectural applications

Reclaimed European oak boards bring natural weathering, tonal variation and authentic aged texture to exterior architecture. Each board carries its own grain, markings and established surface character.

Suitable for rain-screen cladding, garage door facings, gables, entry walls, screens, gates and other exterior architectural features.

Rain-Screen Cladding

Reclaimed oak boards create depth, shadow and natural variation across the exterior of a building.

The oak forms the visible outer layer, while the cavity, membrane and supporting construction provide the required drainage and weatherproofing behind it.

Garage Door Facings

Reclaimed oak boards can be applied to garage doors to integrate them into the wider architectural design.

The aged surface and mixed board character create a distinctive alternative to conventional garage door finishes.

Gables & Entry Walls

Reclaimed oak can be used to define gables, entrances and selected areas of an exterior façade.

These concentrated applications introduce warmth and texture without requiring the timber to cover the entire building.

Depending on orientation and exposure, the timber may gradually soften in tone and weather towards a natural silver-grey. Variation between boards and elevations is expected and forms part of the appearance of the material.

Project-specific Detailing

Reclaimed oak boards are supplied as an exterior decorative layer rather than as a proprietary weathertight cladding system.

The substrate, cavity, membrane, flashings, ventilation, fixing method and weatherproofing must be designed and detailed for each project by the architect, designer, builder or installer.
