A new shipment of antique European oak is currently crossing the ocean — a fresh load of aged timbers reclaimed from barns, mills, and farmhouses. Soon, they’ll arrive at our yard, ready to become something new: mantels, beams, flooring, or joinery, each piece full of texture, tone, and possibility.

There’s nothing like the sight of antique oak arriving. Its surface is marked by time, and the promise of future design is already embedded in every grain.

Fireplace Feature: Raw Beauty in Refined Setting

Crafted from a richly grained antique beam, this custom-cut mantel was finished with band sawn top and bottom and a wire-brushed face. Installed in a project by Chaplin Crooks Architects, it brings raw heritage into a refined, modern interior.

Ashburton Feature – 5m Custom Oak Box Beam

Designed for a ceiling installation in Ashburton, this 5m-long box beam was built from hand-selected rustic oak faces, each one chosen for its unique texture and character. Carefully shaped and joined in-house, the result is a seamless, lightweight structure that looks and feels like a solid beam — a smart, beautiful solution for architectural detailing.

This piece is a true example of what custom craftsmanship can achieve: a visually authentic feature, tailored entirely to the space it was made for.
